The rooms were beautiful and well maintained, and room service was excellent. The restaurant was very quick. Going there directly may feel a bit awkward with family because it shares space with a bar. The stairs are a pain if you choose to use them, though there’s a good elevator. Do visit Mysore giftshop. Wasim, an old-world seller, has good items at decent discounts.

$ THEFT ALERT $ Cash was stolen from several purses during my stay, at breakfast. When I raised the issue, the CCTV footage had been deleted. I believe the entire hotel team and staff are organized in stealing.

The place is costly. Dinner had only a few usual options, the taste was average, and portions were very small. Management kept pushing bottled water, with no option to use regular water, which felt very unfair and money-minded. Even in an emergency or if we needed more, we had to pay for bottled water. Nobody told us the rule: only one bottle per day of stay is complimentary. That’s too bad. It seemed like guests were expected to survive on bottled water alone.

I booked two rooms through Agoda as pay-at-site, with payment due at check-in. Agoda customer care also assured me there would be no issue, but the property kept asking for advance payment. Then they cancelled the booking, claiming I had requested it, which I had not. I’m asking people to stay alert to these unethical practices. Maybe it’s just as well they cancelled, since who knows if they would have charged more on arrival.
