Goroomgo Chinar Lake View Nainital

I booked online for two days after looking at the photos, but the room was nothing like I expected. It was extremely dirty, and every available room seemed to be in terrible shape. The place is badly maintained. I'd strongly recommend avoiding it rather than wasting your money or time.

The hotel is about 50 steps up from the street, and the stairs make getting there difficult. When I asked if they could leave my bags by the road, they wanted extra money. Even after paying 3700 per night, they didn't provide a water bottle. If you ask for water, they fill an old, dirty bottle and serve that. The service boy was very unpleasant. This is the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in. Don't choose it for your next trip.

The room was okay for the price, and the Wi-Fi was good. The sheets weren't clean, the bathroom lock was broken, and the geyser only worked between 8 and 10.

The staff seemed uninterested in helping. When I complained about the room, they vaguely promised to send someone to clean, but nobody came. Their attitude was close to rude, as if guests were a burden. The room itself was in shockingly poor condition, with dusty furniture, stained sheets, and a bad smell that made me wonder if it had been cleaned at all. The bathroom was just as bad, with mold in the corners and a leaking tap leaving a puddle on the floor. Despite the promising name and supposed “lake view,” my stay at Chinar Lake View was by far the worst hotel experience I've had.
