My uncle Satya Prakash Mishra told me so many good things about Himalayan Village Sonapani, and they all turned out to be true, and then some. I spent New Year there, tucked into a forest on a hilltop, and it felt like a dream. The wooden cottage style comes with the modern comforts needed for an easy stay. From the snow-covered mountains and mist drifting through the trees to the quiet broken only by nature, the setting was hard to put into words. The property is beautifully thought out, warm and elegant, with real respect for nature. The owner deserves credit for creating such a special place. Hospitality was warm, attentive, and caring, more like being welcomed into someone's home. If you love nature, adventure, peace, and beauty together, it's a place to experience at least once. Great for stepping away from the chaos and reconnecting with yourself.

The food and hospitality were amazing, and the cottages are scattered right through the jungle, which gives the place a great forest feel. The property and rooms were very clean. The Himalayan views of Nanda Devi and Trishul Parvat were superb. A great experience.

The food was tasty enough, and the staff were friendly and ready to help. My room was basic but cozy, and the mountain resort setting among the jungle was lovely. Getting there is the tricky part: the location can be confusing, the approach road is rough and under construction, and an SUV type car would be better. They do have their own pickup and drop vehicles. I recently stayed at Himalayan Village, and it was an unforgettable experience.

It was peaceful, clean, and relaxing, just right for a serene holiday on a budget. The view is superb, the food felt home-cooked, and service was quick. We had a great time here.

We ate all our meals at the property, and the food was delicious, authentic, full of flavor, and nicely presented. The room was spacious and felt luxurious, yet cozy and well appointed. Housekeeping kept everything clean and tidy. The mountain views were breathtaking. We stayed at Himalayan Village from 27th Dec'24 to 29th Dec'24, and it was an unforgettable experience. The resort is beautifully set in the mountains. The approach road isn't good and the location can be a little confusing, though they provide their own pickup and drop service.
