The rooms are good, the food is good, and there’s a view, but the place feels like a 2-star hotel dressed up as a 4-star resort. Service is 0/10, and the staff seem undertrained. There’s no wash basin or washroom in the restaurant, so wherever you are in the resort you have to go back to your room. Since the resort is uphill, that can mean walking 3-4 floors to use the washroom. Sugar sachets across the resort were expired. We told the manager, though I doubt they were unaware, since they had expired in 2025 itself. The towels are extremely low quality, leaving white lint on your beard or anything beside them, like a shirt or t-shirt. Breakfast is very limited for a 4-5 star resort and starts only after 9-9:15 a.m. They only begin cleaning the restaurant after 9:15 a.m. If you want to sightsee nearby, waiting for breakfast can waste half the day, since traffic in Bhimtal and Nainital peaks after 10 a.m.

I felt safe during my visit, and the food and drinks were quite enjoyable. Being close to Bhimtal Lake is a real plus, with easy access to lovely scenery. The Barns Resorts made for a delightful stay, though it isn't managed as well as the big brands.

The rooms are great, but they’re understaffed for sure. Food was a mixed bag for us, with some dishes being great and breakfast just okay. The prices feel far too high for what they offer, including the location and views. With only 10-12 rooms, I wouldn't call it a resort.

Of the many resorts I’ve visited in bhimtal uttrakhand, this was the most beautiful property I’d seen, with a mesmerizing view. The staff and food were very good, and we really enjoyed our time there.

We were a group of 24 and stayed for 3 nights and 4 days. The rooms were spacious, neat, and clean, and the staff were helpful and cooperative. The chefs made excellent North Indian, homely food. We had a great time and hope to visit again soon.
