The property itself is nice, and the buffet was a real treat: lots of tasty choices and one of the best food experiences I’ve had. It’s a great spot for a weekend with family, especially if you love food and want to relax. There aren’t indoor games or equipment for children, though. I’d skip a visit to Sitabani Gate and spend the time enjoying the place, food, and hospitality instead.

We loved sitting in the private garden outside our villa at night, with the yellow lamps on, listening to crickets, frogs, birds, and other little sounds, or just talking and enjoying the quiet. The sky is full of stars, with no pollution. The resort has 18 cottages, each with its own garden and seating area, plus a swimming pool and outdoor games. On the way in along the dhela roads, we even spotted a deer. The mountain views are stunning, and everything feels raw and natural, with no artificial greenery. The food was one of the best parts. There isn’t the huge selection you might get at a big fancy resort, but what they serve is tasty and homely, without too much spice or oil. The staff are kind, polite, helpful, and friendly. This hidden gem was amazing for us, and we can’t wait to return.

Piyush was the standout for us. I got in touch just a few days before our visit to arrange a driver and safaris, and he still sorted it all out. He stayed available on WhatsApp around the clock to help with anything. I’d recommend Tusk and Roar, though I’d get things arranged earlier than I did. The room was lovely, with a very comfortable bed and hot shower. The restaurant had a good range of affordable Indian dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Dinner doesn’t start until 8, which caught me off guard. The grounds were delightful too, with a volleyball net and a fire pit where we could dine.

We were especially glad to find a pet-friendly place with large rooms and plenty of space for our furry friends. The grounds were green and peaceful, and we were very happy with the three days we spent there. It’s also in a great location and easy to reach, even for novice drivers. The rooms are decent, the food is great, and the hospitality is top notch. We’ll definitely return.
