Port Muziris, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel by Marriott, Kochi Airport

We only stayed one night after travelling from Australia, and wished we could have stayed longer. The restaurant was our favourite part: the service was so good that the chef came out to speak with us. The food was the best we had during our time in India, especially the mango and drumstick curry. The airport pickup was prompt, and the reception staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. The hotel has a lovely boutique feel, with nice art and design. Our room was bright, very clean and beautifully furnished, and the rain shower was a bonus. We’d left our electric toothbrush behind, and the team sent it to our next destination free of charge. Thanks for a great stay.

The airport area isn’t very attractive, but that didn’t take away from the hotel’s quality. We had a lovely short stay before our flight to Colombo. The breakfast buffet was generous and excellent, and the staff happily handled special requests. Everyone was kind and friendly, and after just a few hours we felt like part of a big family. The rooftop pool and bar were great for relaxing, with friendly, professional service there too. We’d gladly return if we get the chance.

The restaurant kept serving fresh, flavourful food throughout my stay, and I ate there every day. Dining room Manager, Isaac, took a real interest in how my meals were going, offered great suggestions and encouraged me to try new dishes. Shon and Aswin also looked after me attentively at every meal. At the poolside snack bar, Athul remembered what I liked from my first day and always gave thoughtful service. Receptionist Rohith was helpful and knowledgeable, with good suggestions for places to visit during my extended stay. When my second and third flights were cancelled, he was sincerely understanding. After I came back from a few days away, he asked about my travels and checked that all had gone smoothly, especially since I was travelling alone. Neha was attentive as well. On Women’s Day, Rohith and Riya surprised me with a rose, a kind gesture that touched me. I was at the hotel for 12 days because of the Middle East war, and the staff made what could have been a stressful time comforting and enjoyable. From the start, they made me feel like a very important guest. Front Office Manager, Suyash, greeted me like an old friend and made sure I was comfortable each day. When I was having trouble booking flights, he stepped in, treated it as a priority and kept helping until my flight was booked and confirmed. The staff’s warmth and care made my stay truly memorable.
