Ahilya By The Sea

We spent a week at Ahilya by the sea, and the antique, artsy feel of the place was lovely. As soon as we arrived, it felt like just what we needed. The location, service, scenery, and rooms were all superb. Chef Avinash kindly accommodated our requests on the days we ate at the property. The food was delicious and made with the best local ingredients. The staff are among the best we've experienced for service, and their care feels genuine. Highly recommend it. This will be our go-to place whenever we're in Goa!

The sunset boat trip was a highlight: we spent an hour on a small boat with local fishermen, and the dolphins jumped and danced in the water. We'll remember it for a long time. I also loved wandering the garden and looking at all the amazing plants. The pool was fabulous, and the martini bar offering was brilliant. Food was good, though not exceptional. The villas and gardens are stunning, with amazing views from the pool and garden out to the sea. You don't get bored of that view. The rooms were lovely, with big, comfortable beds. The staff were incredibly helpful with recommendations and taxis, though they perhaps didn't have the personal friendliness we experienced elsewhere on our trip. It's an amazing location, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel. It was fantastic, and I hope to return one day!

What stayed with me most was the gracious, heartfelt hospitality. It felt personal, like being welcomed into a lovely family. There was a quiet sense of luxury throughout, with nature and comfort sitting beautifully together. At Ahilya by the Sea, the sea seems to sing softly to the shore and time slows down. Every corner has thoughtful elegance. It's more than a place to stay, it's a memory to cherish and miss after leaving. A true five-star haven.

I only stayed one night and wished I could have stayed longer. The spacious rooms look out over the ocean, and the place has preserved its heritage beautifully. Right beside the beach, it has a wonderful view. The staff were super friendly, and Chef Avinash recommended some amazing dishes based on what we like. They really didn't disappoint. This is one of Goa's best hidden gems, and I can't wait to come back. If you're visiting Goa, book it for a great stay!
