The Fern Kadamba Hotel & Spa Goa, Panjim, Series by Marriott

We celebrated my friend's bachelorette at The Fern Kadamba Hotel & Spa – Cafe Tinto, and had such a lovely time. The setting felt classy but relaxed, and the hospitality made the occasion memorable. We especially enjoyed the Chicken Khada Masala, Kingfish Rawa Masala Fry, Golden Fried Prawns, Kung Pao Chicken, Murgh Malai Tikka, and Murgh Biryani. Seradura and the Chocolate Walnut Brownie were a great way to finish. The food was tasty and nicely presented. I'd recommend it for celebrations or family get-togethers.

The bar had alcohol, but no bartender and was shut, which I wouldn't expect at a place calling itself five star. The pool was green and looked dirty, and there was no hot water in my shower. The hall carpets were dirty, the rugs in our room looked like a crime scene, shower screens had water stains, and one towel had a hole. There was no baby or kids' menu either. A large group of male Indian guests got into the pool wearing white cotton undergarments and boxers, and the hotel allowed it. I found that disgusting. The hotel has no class. They say it's a 5-star Marriott, but it doesn't meet the standard. The cheap room rate seemed like a bargain at first, but really it was just cheap. Service was slow, though the people were good. The place felt small and boring. Unacceptable.

Captain Sanjay's attention to detail and leadership helped make our visit smooth, and he made us feel genuinely looked after. Franklin (GSE) was also courteous, quick to help, and consistently made sure our needs were met with a smile. The Fern Kadamba is a beautiful, well-kept property with a comfortable feel and welcoming service. The team's care reflects well on the Fern brand. We had an outstanding stay and would happily return.

We held the Sports Authority of Goa Annual General Body meeting at the venue. Sachin, the FnB manager, Pooja at the front office, and banquet staff Sanjay and Rahul responded quickly, and the staff were very helpful with coordination and arrangements. It was a great event, the food was great, and we had a good time.
