The rooms were dirty, including the mattresses and bed covers. They charge a lot, but the upkeep felt more like a slum. These rooms were for NRI guests coming to a wedding at our home. As soon as they arrived, we were asked for Indian residence ID. Nobody had mentioned while booking that NRI passports wouldn't be accepted. I ended up having to write a guarantee letter before they'd give us the rooms. We had booked these Fab Hotel rooms three months ahead, paid in full, and were assured there'd be no problem. It wasn't even close to an ordinary stay, and I won't use them again.

For an affordable price, the rooms and service were very good. Bengali market and Chittaranjan Kali Bari are right beside the hotel.

I had to move out within a day. The bathroom seat was broken, the AC didn't work, and water sat in the sink because the tap drained poorly. The interior and the service were awful, and the staff were too. The manager or owner was arrogant and didn't know how to speak to customers. Even with empty rooms, they wanted Rs500 for checking in an hour early, although my MMT booking voucher said two hours of early check-in were available.
