Sree Gokulam Nalanda Resorts

The location worked well, with boat rides and Betal Fort nearby, and our room had a lovely view. Housekeeping and the washroom were very good. Breakfast was a treat, with South Indian options like idli, meduvada, dosa, iddiappam, fruit, and omelet. The hospitality was good and we had a nice time at this beautiful place. The food was normal, and non-South Indians can eat it too. At lunch we ordered fish, but the fish dishes had run out by 2 o'clock, so we chose other items after the staff invited us to join in and enjoy. The fish at dinner was good, and mango fish curry is my favorite 😋.

I visited this resort nine years ago and am only getting around to reviewing it now. We still remember it whenever we talk about a relaxing trip. It was such a peaceful, relaxing place, close to the river with very good river-view spots at the time. The beautiful swimming pool was enjoyable too. They welcomed us in grand Keralan style with hot masala water, the service was quick and sharp, and the food tasted very good. We had a very good stay.

We checked in on March 6 and checked out on March 7, 2026, and had a horrible experience. The items here are cheap and substandard. The towels in the bathroom felt like sandpaper, fine for rubbing wood, but on a person's body they could take off skin or hair. None of the machines in the so-called gym worked. I tried turning on the treadmill several times, but it made an awful grinding noise and stopped. We're from the United States. If you want to take a morning walk, forget it, there's no space for one.

The whole resort felt peaceful and relaxing, and made for a refreshing break in a safe, comfortable setting for families. Our stay at Sree Gokulam Nalanda Resorts was wonderful. The rooms were clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained, and the staff were polite and ready to help with a smile. Service was quick and efficient. Highly recommended for a pleasant, memorable stay.
