Golf View by OYO Rooms

The breakfast was awful: the paratha was uncooked, the idlis overcooked, and the omelet undercooked. The restaurant staff were rude, too. Our room was in a filthy, unhygienic state when we checked in. The washroom was dirty and the basin was broken. We asked manager Mr. Jagdish to move us, but he replied arrogantly and refused. About two hours later, water started pouring from the AC into the room. I asked him again to change rooms, but he still wouldn’t. By morning there was so much water that you could practically swim, and I slipped. After we spoke rudely to the staff, they finally cleaned the room. One of the worst experiences I’ve had with both the hotel and OYO.

The room I’m in has no window or proper ventilation, so you can hardly tell what’s happening outside. The bathrooms are small, and the rooms themselves feel extremely cramped. Staff are polite and a little helpful, but I wouldn’t choose this for a business trip. It’s only suitable for one night, and I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re claustrophobic.

I had two frustrating booking problems here. After one booking was confirmed, they said at reception that the rooms had already been taken. Another time, when I booked a room for two through OYO, the app suddenly changed it to a single-person stay. I arrived with a friend and they refused to let my friend in. We had to find and travel to another OYO, five miles away. It was a real inconvenience. The hotel is also expensive. It charges twice what other OYO owners ask for similar rooms. There are better OYO stays in town, and I’d recommend looking nearby instead. The place could have been great, but it let me down twice. What OYO and the hotel did may suit their business, but it made things difficult for customers. I may switch to another booking app and would choose hotels that care about guests’ needs. I don’t recommend this place.

We booked 13 rooms for our group of 40, and the rooms were in deplorable condition. The staff’s attitude was awful, as if accommodating us was some favor. We were also refused lunch and dinner at the only restaurant, curry hut, because it was booked for a private function. Hotel guests were told to eat in their rooms or go elsewhere. I’m very disappointed with OYO. Its standards have fallen to rock bottom, and putting its brand on places like this will damage its name. The staff seemed to care little about guests and only interested in fleecing them. It felt like blatant highway robbery. I hope Mr. Ritesh Agarwal and his team, along with the hotel management, look into this and improve the service before clients lose faith in OYO.
