We'd paid online for The grand residency, but the room we checked into was filthy, full of mosquitoes, and had an AC that wouldn't work. We waited about 45 minutes to see if it would start, then called Oyo customer care and reported the problems. One of their agents booked us another hotel in the same area for the same price and said we wouldn't need to pay there because our online payment had already covered the stay. At reception, they kept asking us not to leave. They said the AC would work and asked us not to give them a bad rating, even though we'd already waited and it still wasn't working. When we asked for a refund, the receptionist said we were drunk. Is that really how guests should be treated? We have proof and they can check the hotel's CCTV and recordings. We can also provide a medical certificate if needed. Another customer had the same AC problem that night. Even the helper boy told the receptionist not to give rooms out when the AC wasn't working, and said their AC was down too. They can check for themselves.
