Forest Hills Farm and Guesthouse

We only stayed one night, but had a lot of fun and would like to come back. The cottage was clean and spacious, and the food was tasty too. The caretakers were very helpful, and Zara, the dog, was friendly. The property is beautiful and well maintained, with plenty of room to wander all day. It feels wonderfully deep in the jungle, and we saw a porcupine beside our cottage at night.

The location is very close to Mudumalai national park, and they advised us not to walk around after 9:00 pm because wild animals may be in the area. The dinner was awesome, with lots of non-veg choices. Our room was neat, with its own attached bathroom and toilet. I’d suggest arriving in an SUV.

Forest Hills has a raw, rustic look that suits it. Instead of tidy lawns and a carefully planned garden, there are wild blooms and bamboo growing all around, with sturdy mountains behind and on either side. Add the gurgling streams and all the flora and fauna, and this quaint place has a charm of its own. We’ve got a special place in our hearts for it.

It’s a deserted, peaceful place where you can unwind and sometimes spot wild animals. There are pets, a game room, and a nice bonfire at night, and the food is great. The staff were super professional and cordial. If you meet Mr. Sebastian, you’ll be lucky, he’s such a nice man.
