We appreciated that this was one of the few Ooty hotels willing to accept foreign guests, and it was a pleasure staying here. The location is handy for both the railway station and central bus station. If online tickets for the UNESCO World Heritage toy train are gone, it's an easy walk to the ticket office, where there may still be tickets early that morning for same-day rides. The room was clean and maintained, check-in was quick, and room service was good. Staff promptly fixed the bathroom water issue when it stopped, and brought an extra warm blanket and hot water for tea on request. For hot water in the bathroom, reception can switch on the electricity for the geyser in your room if you ask. The main downside was a large cockroach that came toward our room.

Rahul and the other staff were very supportive, and the price was quite reasonable. Green Apple Residency is conveniently close to the market and bus stand. Our sheets were very clean, the rooms were maintained well, and the toilets were hygienic. I had a very good stay and would recommend it to visitors.

It was easy to get around from here, with the bus depot and train station only about a five-minute walk away. The staff were polite, really good, and ready to help. Our room was clean and cared for, and the place had a calm, comfortable feel. A pleasant stay without much hassle.

I needed somewhere for the gap between checking out of my original hotel in the morning and my evening bus, so I booked 9 hrs, from 11am to 8pm. For the amount charged, it was a great experience and gave me the flexibility to enjoy the day. The rooms were clean, the staff were great, and the hotel is near the bus stand. A good budget option for a short stay in transit.

Hotel Green Apple is right in the busy market, so public transport, shopping, and eating out are easy to reach. The staff behaved well, and the location is good for shoppers. But the rooms and beds are small, the rooms smell, and there could be city noise. You have to call reception to turn on the geyser each time because they keep the main switch off. It suits short stays where convenience matters more than room size.
