Hotel Nahar Nilgiris

The restaurant was the one bright spot: the food was excellent and its service very good. The rest of the stay was uncomfortable. It was noisy day and night, and felt more like an ordinary guest house than a proper hotel, so it was hard to rest. The shower didn't work properly, the toilet flush leaked, and the room quality was below average for the price. When I asked to change rooms, neither the waiter nor the manager seemed interested in helping, and they wanted extra money for the change. The waiter came across as more focused on getting money from customers than fixing genuine problems. I wouldn't recommend this hotel because of the room condition, noise, and unhelpful staff.

Jai responded quickly, looked after my booking, and arranged the heritage club suite room I usually choose, even during peak season. But the Wi-Fi in the room didn't work, despite the listing promising free in-room Wi-Fi, and this affected my work. I wanted to discuss it with Manager Mr.Wasim. The shower curtain was in horrible condition, so I asked reception to replace it. Even with all those problems, I paid the full amount. It was disappointing.

On my many visits to Ooty, I'd never tried this resort before. The rooms felt like those in a 4-star hotel, but cost much less, and the location is right in the town center. There are two pure vegetarian restaurants inside, with very good dishes at normal prices. The atmosphere was great too.

I've never stayed in a place like this before, and I hadn't booked it myself, so I didn't know what to expect. There wasn't even a kettle, and they refused when I asked for a hair dryer. The heater costs extra. Staff were unprofessional and unsupportive, and their behavior was poor. I don't know how this is rated 3 stars. I'd ask people not to stay here. A guest house would be better than this 1-star hotel. Staying here is sure to spoil your mood.
