The staff were helpful, and it’s in a good spot with a nice view. The place itself is nice, though a few things in the interior had issues.

We had a good stay and enjoyed the views. There isn’t a restaurant on the property. About 1.5 km away, there’s a small place called sudha tea centre. They make idly, dosa, Maggi and omelettes, plus tea and coffee.

There aren’t any restaurants within walking distance, since Sabol Resort is outside Ooty, but food delivery worked surprisingly well. The place is surrounded by greenery and has cool mountain air, so it felt quiet and suited a couple or solo trip. Summer and the months after the monsoon seemed like the best time to go, with pleasant weather and lovely views. In monsoon, though, temperatures can swing around and the road gets slippery, which could make driving or outdoor plans difficult. It may also be a tough fit for families with toddlers, since the cold, especially early and late in the day, could cause health concerns. It’s a peaceful seasonal getaway if you keep the weather and road conditions in mind.

We left after just one night. We’d already been staying somewhere else, and on the second day we tried this place for a change, but it turned into a disaster. Once we were away from Ooty town and its nicer areas, the whole trip mood was gone. I could see it on my family’s faces, so I booked another room nearer town and we moved out. The rooms smelled dusty, weren’t properly cleaned, and the bathrooms weren’t clean either. For the price, we got lonely rooms with no food arrangements or kitchen. The lawns were neglected, and getting to the rooms felt like walking through grass into an unused property. The cottages looked unused too. Please cut the grass, make a proper path to the rooms, get someone to clean the whole area, and vacuum the rooms properly. It could be a good place with that work, but I shouldn’t have paid upfront.
