Hotel Nilgiris Inn

Nilgiris Inn, next to BS Hospital, charged ₹1700 but didn't provide basic amenities or decent service. There weren't any towels, and they wouldn't even give us plates for our food despite having an in-house restaurant. When we asked for a plate, the room service person was dismissive at first. I wanted one because I'm vegetarian and was eating vegetarian food. They eventually brought a plate, but it was visibly dirty. The staff were rude and the hygiene was appalling. Don't book here, even if it's an emergency. The bus stand or railway station would be better. I'll add photos to show the conditions.

The staff at Hotel NILGIRI INN OOTY were warm, professional, and attentive from the start, and check-in was quick and easy. My room was spacious and spotless, with comfortable bedding, fast Wi-Fi, a smart TV, and a well-stocked minibar. Housekeeping kept it in great shape throughout my stay. It was also easy to get to local attractions, shops, and public transport from the hotel. The breakfast buffet stood out, and the in-house restaurant had a wide choice of tasty local and international food. Every staff member went out of their way to make sure guests were comfortable. It felt like home away from home. I'd recommend it for a relaxing, high-quality stay and will definitely return.

At Nilgiris Inn, next to BS Hospital, we paid ₹1700 and got the worst hotel stay I've ever had. There were no towels in the room. When we asked for a plate to eat from, the staff were rude and initially refused, claiming their restaurant was for Jain vegetarian food. We were vegetarian too, and only wanted a plate. After we argued, they brought one that was filthy and clearly hadn't been washed. The lack of basic amenities and the disregard for hygiene and guest service were shocking for that price. Stay away from Nilgiris Inn if you're looking for somewhere in Ooty. Even in a desperate situation, it isn't worth it. I'll attach pictures to back up what happened. You'd be more comfortable at the Ooty bus stand.

Don't go there. The tour bus service and staff were bad, and the drivers behaved very badly. After we used the tour service, they added several extra charges. Later, when some of my money was left unclaimed by mistake, they didn't answer my calls.
