The garden was well kept, and there's parking at the house. It's an old style place with wooden floors and a beautiful view. The owner is very sweet, and the servants are nice too. The food felt homely, though if you want non-vegetarian food for dinner, you need to order early.
The bathroom had been renovated and was up to standard, but the room itself was shabby, with only basic facilities. We stayed two days, and breakfast was very average. The idlis were like cricket balls, the sambar was some kind of concoction, and there was no chutney. The hostess was unfriendly. The whole place needs a thorough revamp.
The house has been turned into a homestay, with a lovely garden and a nice view. The rooms are spectacular, the host is friendly, and they get all the basics right. It would suit any kind of trip. If you're in Ooty, it's a must visit.
The stay was just okay, and for the same budget we could have found somewhere better. It was a mistake choosing this place. They say breakfast is free, but tea and coffee aren't complimentary. I've never before paid 1000 rs for tea over two days. Please choose a better option.
We had a lot of fun around the camp fire, and the food they made for us was spectacular. It's a really nice place to stay in Ooty, with good hospitality. Very nice stay.
