The rooms and staff are very good, and the price is reasonable, even during holiday season. We stay at this hotel whenever we come to Ooty. The downside is that it’s quite far from all the sightseeing spots.

The cottage gave us a lovely view from both the room and the common hall, and there’s car parking at the hotel. It’s a decent place to stay, though it isn’t large or lavish. I’d skip the hotel restaurant because the food wasn’t very good. The five stars are for the nice hospitality we received.

The walls were stained, the place looked very unclean, and there were no bathroom utilities. Since management changed, this has become the worst hotel I could imagine staying at.

The hotel rooms could be better, but the newly opened TRAVANCORE TASTE BUDS restaurant on the property serves excellent food. The staff are friendly, and Jins Mathew, the restaurant owner, is a wonderful guy. His hospitality is what keeps bringing me back to Ooty.
