The staff were polite and helpful, and let us have the room an hour before the official check-in time when we asked. But we left within a day after paying ₹6,000+ for 2 nights, as it didn't feel worth it. The room was small and old, with peeling paint and visible wear. The dustbin was dirty, and the room overall seemed poorly cleaned and maintained. The Wi-fi didn't reach either the room or the common hall, so it was unusable. There was no fan or AC, which matters in Bangalore, no landline, breakfast, or slippers. The bathroom had no exhaust fan and a persistent smell; the towel was torn, and there was no handwash or soap dispenser. There wasn't even a night bulb. The room felt basic and uncomfortable, only suitable if you're willing to accept minimal facilities. I uploaded photos showing its condition. I hope the host fixes the ventilation and odor, replaces torn towels, provides basic toiletries and slippers, restores the lighting, improves the cleaning and walls, and makes Wi-fi reach the guest rooms.

I stayed just one night and asked to cancel the second day because of the poor hygiene and rude service. Neither the hotel nor Agoda gave proper support. The room smelled awful and wasn't clean: long hairs were on the floor, bed, and bathroom, and the used-looking bedsheets had holes. With no fan or AC, the room was very uncomfortable. When I asked to change rooms, staff responded rudely and angrily, then asked me to pay extra for a cleaner one. That was unacceptable. The property's name on the listing doesn't match the name at the location, and the online photos are completely misleading. The actual condition is very different from what's advertised. Given the state of the place, I can't understand the 5 rating and suspect many reviews may be fake. If cleanliness, honesty, and respectful service matter to you, I strongly advise avoiding this hotel. It can ruin a trip. The hotel is in Ooty. This was a very bad and disappointing experience, and I would not recommend it.

We were traveling as a family and fled the property within 15 minutes of checking in because we felt unsafe. The staff were rude from the start and refused to help with our luggage. They kept staring at us in a way that felt shady and intimidating, and we didn't feel safe confronting the receptionists. I would warn families away from Super Hotel O Rose Garden Ooty (formerly New Star Cottages). The atmosphere felt menacing. The room was filthy and uninhabitable, with water in it, a broken toilet flush, no Wi-Fi, and no toiletries. They'd literally hung up a WiFi router with no cables, so how was the WIFI meant to work? A bunch of jokers 😂 After this horrible experience, I won't trust OYO Rooms again. Save your money and peace of mind, stay far away.

A clean room, well-behaved staff, and a picturesque balcony view, all for a good price. We found this hidden gem during the Christmas rush. The narrow roads can make it difficult to get there, though the property does have parking.

The room was so dirty, and the bedsheets and pillow covers were dirty too. I don't understand who gave this hotel a 5 rating, it doesn't deserve even 1. It wasn't friendly for a child, and there was no kettle. The flush didn't work properly, a door handle was broken, and ventilation was inadequate. The experience was the worst.
