The peaceful grounds, surrounded by plenty of nature, gave the place a rare feeling of calm. Savoy is a beautiful mix of heritage character and minimalist elegance. We’re grateful for the warm welcome, especially from Manager Titus Vinod, Sabarish and team, whose care and attention made the stay feel personal. The restaurant chef and the whole team also served delicious food with lovely hospitality throughout our visit. Savoy felt like an experience that stays with you, and we hope to return.

We came back to Taj Savoy after almost 40 years. We celebrated our honeymoon there in 1986, and it still has that old-world charm. Being there was relaxing and rejuvenating, especially with the weather during peak summer in the Rest of India. The new State Govt rules on alcohol services take a little away from enjoying the open-air setting, but all in all it’s a great place to visit and feel refreshed. Go for it.

The gardens and rooms were great, and the food was good too. The service was excellent, with staff so humble and welcoming that it felt like being at home. It’s operated under Taj and lives up to its reputation. I’d love to stay here again. Thank you.

We stayed in 2 rooms 17may. The breads were average, the masala khichdi was watery and bland, and the Jain food we requested was a letdown. We had asked Executive Chef Mr. Niranjan for a non-sweet preparation, but it arrived tasting more like dessert. After we explained the problem to manager Mr. Arul, the dish was taken back and returned within 10 minutes still sweet, now with chilli added. Food is a big part of a stay, and this meal spoiled the experience and our valuable time. We come to Taj properties for the warmth and attention to detail of “Tajness.” At Taj Savoy Hotel, I’d stay for the Taj name, not for the Tajness or the food.

Our large family was welcomed warmly, and the cleaning and hospitality staff were exceptional, especially Sebastian. They looked after our kids and played with them without being asked. The children also enjoyed the archery and fish pond feeder activities. The rooms, though, are dated and could be cleaner. We had no heat on the first night and relied on an oil heater after that. A heater was only offered when we asked. Prices are eye-watering compared with nearby hotels, and the large bill at the end wasn’t made clear to us beforehand. The experience was okay and the working staff were outstanding, but value compared with other Taj properties is lacking, and management didn’t match the staff’s service. I don’t plan to return.
