The food wasn’t good, and the place seemed poorly maintained and unhygienic. We were also told to check out immediately by an aggressive manager. I wouldn’t bring a family here. Treebo advertises early check-in and late checkout subject to availability, so why mention that if guests are treated this way? For the same price, there are other hotels with better hospitality.

We ended up moving to Hotel Nahar Nilgiris for the last two nights after checking out almost as soon as we arrived. We’d booked three nights from October 31, 2025, but the manager’s reaction at check-in made us feel so uncomfortable and unwelcome that we didn’t want to stay. We complained, but he didn’t apologize. The issue began when my husband showed the booking details on his phone, which is a standard way to check in. The manager got angry, shouted, and demanded to know why he hadn’t said the name out loud. It became a hostile, embarrassing scene in front of our family and other guests over something minor. Families should consider booking somewhere else. If you don’t meet the manager’s demands exactly, even over a small thing like how you give your name, you could face that kind of anger. We’ve never had such a disrespectful, unfriendly welcome anywhere.

The scenery was the highlight of my trip to Ooty. Skydale Hotel has beautiful views, and waking up to the fresh air and surroundings made the stay feel special. The staff were warm, friendly, and ready to help, so I felt comfortable and well looked after. Their hospitality and attention to detail were excellent. It made my trip memorable, and I’d gladly recommend it to anyone after a peaceful, welcoming place to stay.

That mountain view was amazing, and the tasty breakfast was a real bonus. Our room and bathroom were luxurious and clean, and the room service, cleanliness, and safety all felt well handled. They made the stay easy and everything was on point. Worth staying here.
