Coastal Pearl Hotel Miramar Panaji

I went for my Ironman in the second week of November and asked for an early check-in. It was denied, which we accepted since the listed check-in time was 3 pm. We wandered around and came back at 3, only to find the room was awful. After some haggling they changed it, but the quality overall was nowhere near the price Booking.com charged. There was no room cleaning or housekeeping. Even the cups and towels were left to dry and started to smell. The TV didn't work; after repeated requests, someone came, but it stopped working again. The only plus was being near our place with the gymkhana. Otherwise, I'd have checked out on the first day. Don't stay here alone or with family. Total waste of money. The pictures don't show the place accurately.

I stayed here for work. The room was okay overall, but paint was chipped in places and there were seepage marks. Glasses and plates were unhygienic, hand wash wasn't replenished, and they didn't provide shampoo. The receptionist spoke harshly. Breakfast finished before 10, and even five minutes late meant they wouldn't serve it. The menu was very limited: aloo paratha, bread, and omelette, plus juice and tea. Breakfast was good, but the service needs to improve and the room hygiene needs attention. The property is near Miramar beach, behind the roads by Malabar gold. Two and four-wheelers are available to rent if you provide an original document.

The room was only somewhat clean, and even basics like the bathroom mat and water glasses hadn't been washed properly. Breakfast had very few options, and the passage between rooms smelled strongly of smoke, making the stay uncomfortable. There seemed to be too few staff to keep the property in good shape. The staff I dealt with were genuinely polite and helpful, and I felt bad writing this about the few people who were doing their best for guests. But Coastal Pearl Hotel needs better upkeep and management. The overall experience was poor.

It's a basic hotel with very limited services. Breakfast has only one or two choices, with little variety. The rooms are average, and the main plus is the location, close to Miramar beach from the backwaters. It's not good value for money, and you could skip it for a better place.
