Hotel Bela Goa

We were a 26-member football team, CS Delhi, staying for about 10 days in mid-December 2025. The staff were welcoming throughout, and the receptionists were especially sweet and humble. Our room service was good, and the restaurant team were kind, professional, and well trained. I really appreciated the food quality and the superb, hygienic complimentary breakfast. The pool is large, though there’s little space around it and no loungers. There’s one open shower and a bathroom nearby. The hotel also has seminar, meeting, and party halls on the top floor. Semi-Delux rooms are a bit small for families with children but clean and comfortable for two people or a couple. Delux and super delux rooms have more space, though the facilities are the same as in the Delux rooms. The price felt a little high, but I’m happy with the breakfast and our comfortable stay at Miramar Beach, Goa. Best wishes to the staff and management.

The food was well prepared and everyone in our group enjoyed it. Staff were generally courteous, and Sachin at the front desk was particularly helpful. The pool was decent in size and seemed reasonably maintained. The location is convenient, in a plush part of Miramar, set back from the main road. The beach is close, and there are some good restaurants and ice cream parlours nearby. Our room experience was a mess. The hotel seems to be upgrading rooms, but some were below living standards, and we saw cockroaches in others. Housekeeping didn’t seem concerned when we pointed them out. The front desk lady didn’t know what room types were available. We’d booked a king size bed but got a queen size maxi, and she wouldn’t change it, saying all the beds were the same size. They showed us more expensive rooms with two beds, but those weren’t in a fit condition to stay in. We agreed to get an extra mattress, then noticed the AC was leaking onto the floor. Eventually we were moved to the adjoining room, which had a maxi size king size bed. Crazy.

I felt safe and comfortable here, and it was a welcoming place for women. The hospitality was exceptional, with courteous staff throughout. A truly pleasant stay, highly recommended.

My flight was delayed by four hours, the hotel I’d originally booked was overbooked, and the booking.com hotline wasn’t helpful. By 3 a.m., I was just glad to find somewhere to sleep. I was given room 218, which should be Out of Order. The mattress was hard as a stone, the toilet wouldn’t flush, and there was a huge bucket in the bathroom. I later figured out why: the toilet was chipped and broken. The door lock was unreliable, there were coffee stains by the kettle, and the room was below average for cleanliness. I asked reception three times during the day to send someone to fix the toilet, but nobody came, so I carefully used the 30-liter bucket provided in the bathroom. In my opinion, the room hadn’t been renovated in at least 40 years, and maintenance since then had been poor. Management must know the pipes are full of limescale after all these years. I gave three stars for service because the breakfast and reception staff were nice and helpful.
