The only good part was the location, a convenient distance from the National Highway to Shimla since I was driving there. I was exhausted and too sleepy to look for another hotel, so I stayed. I had a sleeping bag and spare blanket in my car, and put them over the bed to sleep. In 15 years of travel, no hotel has frustrated me this much. The Google photos showed neat, good rooms and misled me into booking. The property was poorly maintained: the sheets and blankets hadn't been washed, with hair and dirt from the previous guest; there was a big lizard and lots of mosquitoes in the room. The bathroom was in terrible shape, the flush didn't work, and the old buckets and mug were stained and dirty. The corridors smelled, and there were cigarettes on the stairs and in the corridors.

We'd paid in full and booked through Expedia before reaching the hotel to check in. The receptionist said it was closed and they couldn't let us in. I'm still waiting for my refund.

What a waste of money. The rooms are dirty, and the staff aren't helpful. In fact, they're unavailable most of the time. Worst hotel ever.

I mainly gave it one star because it had a roof and Wi-Fi, which I needed for remote work. Otherwise, it wasn't even worth one star. Cleanliness, the environment, and room service were all poor. The toilet seat was damaged, and the food was oily. It's right on the main highway, so there were vehicle horns and other noise all night. Some people may ignore that, but I prefer a peaceful sleep. Sorry if you had a good experience, but mine really wasn't good. I hope they at least improve the room cleanliness and food service.

I've traveled through more than 7 states and stayed in all kinds of places, from Hyatt to Airbnb, and this is still my worst experience. The rooms are cheap, but even the jet spray wasn't working. When I asked about late checkout charges, there was no clear policy. All I got was, "tu 11 bje hi nikl jaiyo chkout kr k." There was no power backup either. If the area's electricity goes out, your comfort just depends on the weather.
