OYO 10990 Gobind Regency

The food was a real problem for us. It was unhygienic and stale, and while some starters were average, others were almost unbearable. The paneer tikka had far too much chilli. Not everyone drinks, and kids and women eat starters too. We were also charged 3500 for 100 counted balloons at a birthday party. Even at a seven-star hotel, I don’t think one balloon is worth Rs 35. The hotel’s liquor licence issue caused a lot of trouble. They didn’t explain everything before taking an advance payment, then started listing problems, including that they have no liquor licence. By then, we couldn’t easily try somewhere else, so we had to book a separate room, and every little thing was charged separately. If you’re Punjabi, this hotel may not be for you. Booking it for an office party could even get one or two admin staff fired. It’s better to hold a family event at home, since even though it’s a hotel, you’re left with the licence headache and all the responsibility. If you want to ruin a family function, go there, but you’ll be responsible for everything. The senior staff were no help. If I raised an issue with someone senior, they sent me to junior staff, and the junior staff sent me back. In the end they said to talk to the person who handled things on the first day, as they knew nothing. There was an older Himachali employee who would definitely argue with you if you raised a problem, so be careful. Time, money, everything wasted. Just a waste.

It was a terrible stay. There was no Wi-Fi, food service wasn’t proper, and they didn’t even provide drinking water. The fan was missing and the AC didn’t work. Better to book another nearby hotel 👍

The rooms were awful and clearly hadn’t been cleaned. I wonder if anyone has stayed here for days. Food was poor in both quality and quantity, yet very expensive. I can’t even get into the bathroom 🤭😡🤦‍♀️🤕🤒. No stars from me, and I wouldn’t choose this hotel at any price. A very bad experience.

The breakfast was fantastic, with more variety than I’ve ever seen at a hotel, and we loved the ice cream parlor. We’ll definitely come back.
