The room doors were broken, so you couldn't leave to do anything without leaving the room open, and the manager was rarely at reception. There was no food available at the hotel either. The building also has a dance bar, with music playing extremely loudly, and it didn't feel safe for women travelling alone or with family. The owner is the same, so guests may be accommodated in the Soham bar building. On top of that, they asked for extra money even though I'd already booked and paid. It was the worst experience. Don't book this hotel or Oyo stay. OYO should remove it right away.

Right on the highway, so getting around is easy. The rooms were neat and clean, and the staff were nice. I went with my boyfriend to spend some time, and we just needed to bring valid ID cards. It felt like a good, safe place to stay, even for women, and we had a nice time.

We had a bad experience, and I hope nobody else goes through the same thing. Kolkata has both good and bad areas, so be careful when choosing where to stay, and avoid this area. These properties appear on OYO, AGODA, and other sites at low prices, but once you arrive they ask for more money. Since people are already travelling, they end up paying. This is a scam. Avoid cheap listings and read the property's reviews first.

Terrible treatment, and it felt fraudulent. I booked through Oyo, but at reception they wanted extra money and refused to let me in. I called Oyo customer service and passed the phone to the receptionist, but they still argued with Oyo and wasted a lot of my time. Oyo should take a serious look at hotels like this and remove them from its listings. 😡😡😡
