Rockwood Resort

We had to make do with a smaller room for the first day because the room we needed wasn’t available, so room allocation was a bit confusing. The staff were polite, and the food was good, with plenty of vegetarian choices in the restaurant. The hotel is on the main road, about 4 km from the famous Paonta Sahib Gurudwara.

We came with family for two nights, then enjoyed it enough to extend by another two. The rooms were neat and clean, the ambience was fantastic, and the service was quick. Mr. Aalok, the manager, was cooperative, too. Rockwood Resort is right by the highway, and the food was excellent and good quality. Very nice property and hospitality.

The rooms are all spacious and air conditioned, and there’s a restaurant, conference hall and bar. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The staff were helpful, amenities were great, food was yummy, and service was quick, including check-in and checkout. It’s a beautiful spot right by the road, and a fine resort in Paonta sahib for either business or a leisure trip. The owner also has another lovely hotel nearby with the same name.

This was my first visit, for a function in the banquet hall, so this review is based just on that. The food was great, service superb, and cleanliness deserves full marks. The air conditioned hall was comfortable. Hotel Rockwood resort is at Batapul Chowk (Now renamed as Mahadev Chowk), on the right side of the Yamuna Nagar highway. It’s in a prime location, has basement parking and a lift, and the restaurant is on the ground floor next to reception. The newly built hotel is about 5 km from the city centre and is the city’s third hotel apart from Rockwood and Rockstar.
