The garden and lake make it easy to slow down here. I liked walking through the grounds, sitting on a bench by the lake, or just breathing and doing nothing. The massage was good, and the pool was a treat, especially an early swim after sunrise followed by a rest on the lounge. I stayed in a villa with a huge bedroom, a comfortable luxury bathroom with reliably hot water, and a lovely terrace where servants brought tea whenever I wanted. Watching the palm trees move in the breeze was lovely. The food is something you can choose, and I enjoyed the vegetarian dishes. The cook and the other servants were very kind. Internet was available from morning until evening. It felt like a peaceful place for body and mind to rest.

The staff boys were pleasant, but the managers seemed unconcerned about what was happening at the resort. We booked a villa cottage with one large room and an attached bathroom. A second space, apparently meant to be a corridor, had been turned into what they called a room, and seeing it put us off immediately. They provided the three extra cots mentioned in the email, but two were placed on the floor with very poor mattresses, which made us uncomfortable. We were charged a very high amount for all three, even though two were low-quality mattresses and one was on a bed, and they were supposed to be arranged equally. Breakfast was complimentary, but only idly was included; tea or coffee cost extra. You really shouldn't expect much here. This was the worst resort experience I've had. For the same money, a four-star resort would give you better rooms and excellent service.

The lush green lawns are beautifully kept, and the property has waterfront along the whole stretch of land on Ashtamudi Lake. Staff are really good, and they offer things like Ayurvedic massage and a house boat. One of the finest places to stay in Kerala and enjoy the scenery. Very nice resort.

A lovely place for time with family or friends. The climate and atmosphere are great, and it feels homely. There's boating, an Ayurvedic center, and yoga too. Awesome place to stay.
