The Meadows Varkala

Sindhu and Molly really made this stay special. They cooked breakfast, cleaned the rooms, and looked after the property with so much kindness and positive energy. The veg samba was the best I've had, and the channa curry was delicious, though I can't remember its name. There was fruit like papaya, banana, and grapes, and my friend loved the perfectly cooked masala omelettes. A huge thank you to both of them for their warmth and dedication. I'd happily stay here again in Varkala. I was here from 3rd Jan to 9th Jan 2026. The location works for shops and restaurants, but you'll want a bike or car to get around, otherwise it's taxis or tuk tuks, as with anywhere in Varkala. The grounds were well maintained, with lots of parking, lovely gardens, and a sliding gate at the front. The rooms were clean and a decent size, with a spacious modern bathroom and one of the best showers I've used. The shower products and shampoo were good quality. Beds were comfortable and roomy. There was plenty of clean wardrobe space, though a few extra hangers might help. I'm sure they'd provide more if asked. The kitchen had what we needed, including a handy filtered water machine and a decent washing machine. There was a comfortable TV area with a good-sized screen, plus two more seating spots for relaxing. All had air conditioning, and the Wi-Fi was really good. The young man at check-in was helpful too.

The private garden view was such a peaceful way to start the day, with greenery right outside the window. The room felt fresh and new, and I loved the bright bathroom with its little stones and lights. Everything was very clean, and we really enjoyed staying at The Meadow. The staff were helpful too. I'd book it again if I wanted somewhere comfortable and relaxed in Varkala.

We spent three nights at The Meadows in Varkala. It was quiet, green, and relaxed, a good fit for families or couples wanting to get away from the crowds around the cliffs and avoid nightlife. Our room was spacious and clean, with a balcony view, and the staff were very polite and supportive.

The cook made a tasty breakfast to order, just how we wanted it. We had a pleasant stay at this spacious, peaceful property, which was well maintained and had lovely garden views, big rooms, and a well equipped kitchen. I'd recommend it, 10/10.
