The room was tiny, with old, broken, unpolished furniture, and the bathroom was cramped with no ventilator. There were no windows or ventilator in the room either. They say kettles and tea or coffee are provided, but there was nothing. The mattress didn’t fit the bed properly, apparently just to make it look classy, and they used a towel as a doormat. For such a high price, this felt like a low-class room and a waste of my hard-earned money. When I asked for another room, they refused because the fare had already been paid, then acted too smart and said the hotel was full when it wasn’t. Please don’t book here.

The room was comfortable, staff were polite and supportive, and cleaning was excellent throughout my stay. Most things were satisfactory. A couple of problems stood out: there was no exhaust fan in the washroom, so it smelled, and the floor wasn’t leveled properly, letting extra water run toward the room. Breakfast quality could also be better.

Patna was enjoyable, but the hotel didn’t add to the experience. It’s in a wonderful, if quirky, location, and I wasn’t expecting luxury while traveling east and north on a budget. Still, the door handle was broken, the coffee table fell apart, the kettle plug didn’t work, and the worn floor covering had holes. Breakfast was meant to start at 7.30am, but there was no sign of it before I had to leave. I complained at the front desk, and maintenance came right away and did what little they could. The place needs a proper clean and a thorough update.

We waited two hours just for our order, yet they were quick to bring the bill. When we asked about the food, we either got no response or a vague answer. Such a frustrating place. I wouldn’t recommend it. Save your time and money and avoid it.

I’m a regular because of my job, and staying here is cosy and pleasant. The staff are welcoming and supportive. The rooms could use a little renovation and a few changes.
