Hotel Republic

The food was very good, both veg and non-veg, and the hotel has a lift and good banquets. It’s on the main road, so the location is a plus, though the ground floor feels very conjusted and the upper floors are better. There is parking space, but not much. You can get parking under bridge.

The room was spacious, and the location was decent with good connectivity. But after check-in there was no towel, and we had to ask three times to get one. Complimentary water wasn’t placed in the room either, so I had to request it at the front desk. The hotel has no iron, and if you hand them clothes to iron, it takes a full day.

The booking was confirmed quickly, and I liked the room choice. That’s about where the good part ended. Housekeeping and room service were really poor: nobody responded to my laundry request, and snacks and water took an hour and a half to arrive. After coming back to the hotel, I couldn’t even count on getting a glass of water. I stayed here 3-4 years ago and gave it another chance, but I won’t stay again. Be prepared to take your chances with room service.

Once inside, the hotel feels calm, and the rooms and interiors are neat and well kept. There are around 40 rooms, and the food is great for the money. I’d put it among the best hotels in Patna. Getting there is the downside: the approach through Bakarganj is very crowded because it’s right in the middle of the market. The Wi-Fi was also very weak in most rooms.
