OYO 9770 Hotel Urban Comfort

The rooms were fresh, clean, and had all the facilities, including AC. There’s a sofa at reception for a little chat, and a separate flat-style room with its own kitchen and lobby area has recently opened on the third floor for longer stays over 15 days. All of this is within budget. The place is calm and feels like a homestay, with home-style food from the kitchen. If you want home food at a reasonable price, this is the place.

Staff are good, and there are shops about a 2 to 2.5 km walk away, from ordinary stores to branded outlets. But this is an apartment being used as a hotel, with limited room options, and it can be tricky for someone new to the city to find. Google Maps stops a little short, so if it says you’ve arrived but you can’t see the place, call reception and stay nearby. There’s no restaurant, just a basic kitchen. You have to order within a fixed time or food won’t be available, and the prices are like a standard restaurant despite the limited kitchen options.

I tried the urban comfort in Pataliputra, and it’s the best place if you want a homely feel. The food tastes just like home cooking. Thank you, vikas ji, the manager.

A truly great homestay experience in Patna and the Ranchi extensions. The place is professionally run!
