Regenta Place Phagwara by Royal Orchid Hotels Limited

I went in for evening snacks and was surprised by how it went. I ordered Amritsari fish fry and got one, but the waiters didn't seem to know what they were serving and tried to charge me for a more expensive fish I hadn't eaten. They'd added a different dish to the bill, making it about 70% higher. When I challenged it, they just started going on and on. It seemed like this might be normal practice there.

We stayed at Regenta Place, Phagwara (Punjab) for three nights, on 7th, 8th and 9th January 2026, and found the stay comfortable and pleasant, with good standards for cleanliness and service. The AC in our room stopped working, so we needed to move. Mr. Tarun Chauhan, the Hotel Manager, dealt with it calmly and quickly, shifting us to another room without any inconvenience. His friendly professionalism and problem-solving made a real difference. The staff were supportive, and the floor 2 room cleaning staff helped make things smooth. Efficient management overall. I'd recommend Regenta Place Phagwara and would stay again.

At 10:00 PM, more than two hours after ordering, I still had no food or update, and nobody was answering the phones. That was insulting, especially as a paying guest. The room itself may have been adequate, but the in-room dining service at Hotel Regenta Place Phagwara was pathetic. I placed a simple order at 7:45 PM, then called at 8:30 PM when nothing had arrived. A staff member confirmed the kitchen was preparing it, but that turned out to mean nothing. Over the next hour and a half, I repeatedly tried reception and in-room dining, with no answer, courtesy call, update, or accountability. This felt like a total collapse of basic hotel operations and plain negligence. Staff couldn't deliver a simple meal and ignored calls instead of giving an honest update. I won't return. If you expect responsiveness or to be fed during your stay, book elsewhere. Stay date: 18-11-25.

Stay dates were 25-26/4/26. A total waste of money. For what they charge, the service was very poor, and the ACs weren't working. We waited about 75 minutes and kept calling, but nobody at reception picked up. After going to the desk three or four times, they moved us to another room, where the AC still didn't work properly. The staff were very rude. Totally disappointing.
