Celebrations Inn

The rooms were very average and could be looked after better. Food was average too. The free breakfast was pretty plain, with just two items, and the only fruit served each day was a banana.

The staff were courteous and helpful, but the rooms made for a disappointing stay. The interiors and furniture are old and worn, and some of the granite flooring is broken. The mattress was so hard, like sleeping on stone, that I couldn’t rest comfortably even for an hour. The property is in very poor condition overall.

The one useful thing about Hotel Celebration Inn was its location near my Project C215 site. I expected a dependable long-term stay at a hotel claiming 3-star status, possibly for up to six months, but the experience was deeply disappointing. Hygiene, staff behavior, communication, and professionalism all fell far below basic standards. Hot water was not available after 12 PM. When I asked for it, staff answered rudely and showed little courtesy or understanding. They also lacked proper flasks for hot drinks. Tea came in a thin stainless-steel jug with an open spout, and the jug was dirty, with visible buildup around the handle and lid. That seemed unacceptable for a place claiming 3-star standards. I complained several times about cockroaches, but staff were abrupt and irresponsible. They even joked that they “feed them for their livelihood.” My mattress was old and damaged, and they wouldn’t offer another room or replace it. I had explained that I planned to stay long term and asked to be reminded when the bill reached ₹15,000 so I could pay accordingly. Instead, staff were rude when it reached ₹10,000. I offered a security cheque to avoid any misunderstanding, but they refused it in an unprofessional tone, saying they don’t accept cheques. I still paid all my dues promptly. When I said I couldn’t vacate urgently, the night-shift receptionist behaved abruptly and made a threat.

The rooms are really good, and the staff were good too. The hotel is just 3 mins from Chinchwad railways station. The only thing missing in each room is a personal geyser: they use a common boiler and solar-powered water heater.
