Arunik Inn

Arunik was a good choice for a safe family stay in Pondicherry 😊. The owner helped us with local sightseeing, and our room was very clean. Everything is close by, including the Beach and Ashram, both within walking distance.

We felt at home as soon as we arrived at Hotel Arunik Inn, Pondicherry, thanks to the warm welcome. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well cared for. The location made sightseeing easy since most major tourist spots were nearby. It was a lovely stay, and we'd recommend the hotel.

We came to Pondicherry as a family with my parents, sister, niece, and young son, expecting a comfortable visit, but our stay at Arunik Inn was extremely stressful. After checking in, we noticed what seemed to be bed bugs and had itching and bites. We left right away and had to find other accommodation, which disrupted our trip and affected the whole family. The staff could have responded better when we complained. Cleanliness and hygiene need serious attention, especially for families with children or older people. I hope management deals with this so other guests don't go through it. I definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The location was the only good part of an otherwise awful stay, and I would never recommend the place. There's no lift or round-the-clock room service, and drinking water had to be bought at the front desk. The rooms and bathrooms were below standard. Our bedsheet had several stitches, the washbasin was cracked, and the bathroom fittings were very old. On the second day we asked for the dustbin to be cleaned, and staff told us to take it down to the ground floor for the garbage collectors. One support staff member eventually cleaned it. I have no words for that.
