I had a lovely family stay at a peaceful, clean resort in Pondicherry, surrounded by nature. The rooms were comfortable and the atmosphere made it easy to relax. We spent good time together and made lots of happy memories. It was a wonderful experience, and I'd love to return someday.

The kids were happily occupied in the play area, which was our favorite part of Anglo Resort. The pool was kept up well and felt very safe for them too. With clean rooms, attentive staff, and a peaceful atmosphere, it made for a lovely getaway with family and friends.

It's in a quiet, peaceful area, and the rooms are very neat and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the pool is clean and well maintained with minimal chlorine. Having your own vehicle is recommended for getting to nearby shops and places easily. A great family spot, especially for kids.

Before booking, check recent reviews from the last 2-3 months for repeated cleanliness or maintenance complaints. Guest photos may show room conditions more realistically than promotional pictures, and you can contact the hotel to ask about the rooms, amenities, or renovations. For an Anglo resort-style getaway, look for a heritage hotel, colonial-style stay, or boutique resort, ideally with colonial charm or British/Irish heritage. A good base should have working private bathrooms, a clean outdoor pool, fresh linens and towels, and reliable daily or on-demand housekeeping. Staff should be available 24/7 and resolve issues promptly and courteously. Comfortable bedding, free parking and Wi-Fi, good food, and a relaxing setting with natural features matter too. Watch for broken taps or toilet hand sprays, algae in the kettle, heaters that don't work, dirty or used-looking towels, infrequent cleaning, and staff who dismiss maintenance issues or blame new management. Pathetic pillows, extra charges that don't match the quality, and merely average food are also drawbacks. A waterfall can be nice, but it can't make up for basic problems.
