Shankar was particularly helpful throughout our three nights, always going out of his way to sort out what we needed. The staff were friendly, and the appliances in the comfortable, well-kept rooms all worked properly. La Maison Charu is in a convenient part of Puducherry, near the heart of White Town and a short walk from Promenade. Shops, cafes, and restaurants are all close by, with seafood, South Indian, French, and Italian food to choose from. It felt like home, and we were very happy with the stay. One small difficulty was communication, since most staff knew only basic English and not Hindi, but their willingness to help made up for it. I’d recommend it to visitors looking for a comfortable stay in the area.

The apartments have kitchens, which would work well for families or groups, and the themed Marvel/DC rooms add a playful touch. Our room was spacious, tidy, and nicely decorated, with a cozy feel and modern amenities. Staff were polite and helpful, offering local suggestions and arranging transport. The pricing seemed reasonable for the cleanliness, facilities, and location. La Maison Charu sits in Heritage Town within walking distance of Promenade Beach, Sri Aurobindo Ashram, White Town, cafes, shops, and other attractions. It felt safe and well maintained, and would suit both short and longer visits to Pondicherry.

It’s more Travelodge than Hilton, but for a month of budget travel, clean rooms and linen plus helpful staff are exactly what I’m after. We had the Galaxy room, which was nice, with a kitchenette outside and a balcony. The staff were very helpful. They let us leave our luggage after checkout and arranged a taxi for a later pickup to tha station.

I really loved staying here. The rooms are artistic and well looked after, and the prices are reasonable. It’s a lovely spot in Pondicherry, with convenient access to the places you might want to visit. You won’t be disappointed.
