La Grrande Malar - The Boutique Hotel Pondicherry

I stayed four nights for official work and found it very comfortable. The location is prime, and the place is budget friendly, clean, and well serviced. The restaurant staff, Ms.Ashita and Ms. Ganga, were polite, helpful, and professional. The property has its own parking, though there isn't enough of it. The rooms are compact but comfortable. I'd like to come back with family next time. Very good overall.

The staff were incredibly polite and attentive, and their service is what stands out most. I had a wonderful three-day stay during my trip to Pondy. The property is beautiful and well maintained, and the South Indian breakfast was an unexpected treat, absolutely delicious. A fantastic place to stay when visiting Pondicherry.

Harshita was especially thoughtful, even helping us with breakfast at 11 a.m., and the rest of the staff were quick and lovely whenever we needed anything. The hotel is in a handy spot, close to the beaches, bus stops, and railway station. The same breakfast was served on both days. Our experience with the manager, Mayappam, was difficult: he seemed to have a problem with upper management and was reluctant to give us a room even though one was available. He stayed uncooperative during our visit, though perhaps personal matters were involved. Still, it was a good stay.

The parking is available, but it’s so tight that getting in and out really tests your driving skills. Inside, the rooms were clean and good for the price, though the bathroom taps and shower leaked and could use an upgrade. Breakfast was delicious, and Ashitha gave us great service. A good place to stay overall.
