The room was spotless, and the heater kept us comfortable. The man at reception was especially welcoming and helpful. We also liked the calm dining area, and having a kitchen to refill water plus a fridge for drinks was handy. Great value for the price, and we’d stay again.

The staff were nice, and the place is very close to the historic Sivan Temple at Irumbai, about 1,800 years old. The location is quite far outside Puducherry, though. Our room was small, with nowhere to hang clothes, and we had no hot water in the bathroom for the whole stay. They seemed aware of the issue but didn’t address it, which made bathing in cold water during the cold season very difficult.

We were very happy with the service at Harmony Guest House. Praveen N Nisan took good care of us and kept everything running smoothly, so we had a pleasant stay.

We chose this place because it’s close to Auroville Matrimandir, just 2 km away. The surrounding area felt like a village and was nice in the morning, but the rooms were a shock when we arrived in the evening. They smelled bad, and there was no water, towels, soap, or toiletries. After we reported it, they sprayed room freshener as if that would solve it for good. We had to ask again to get a bottle of water, and there was still no soap or toothbrush. We booked one king room and paid for a queen room, and the queen room was in even worse condition.
