The property is fairly new, and the room itself was in decent condition. Staff checked in with reminders before our visit, let us leave our luggage after checkout, and a few spoke English well enough that communication was easy. Those were the positives. I booked over the Independence Day long weekend, and despite the reminders, we waited nearly an hour in the lobby before we could get into the room. The standard double room is tiny. The queen bed takes up almost all the space, leaving no table or chair, so eating delivered food means sitting on the bed. There’s no ventilation unit either, and staying inside for long can feel stuffy. For two guests over three days and two nights, we got one bath towel, a small thin Medimix soap, and one ₹1.5 shampoo sachet. When we asked for cleaning, staff refused and said rooms are cleaned only after checkout. The linen had red marks and wasn’t changed. We later realized they were mosquito blood stains from bugs we’d swatted while asleep. The bathroom’s jet spray holder was broken and left by the TV stand, while the spray itself was on the floor. There’s no lift, which is hard with lots of luggage. The property is a bit outside the main city, with no nearby shops or restaurants, so you’ll need to rent a scooter to find food. They also charge to use common facilities such as a washroom before check-in or after checkout. I wouldn’t choose this for more than one person, a stay of several days, or solo women travelers given the location. During peak season, surge pricing makes it poor value. It might be okay for one night in the off season, or at around 1,000 a night if you find a deal.

Even though we decided at the last minute to visit Pondicherry on a long weekend, they managed to arrange the accommodation we needed. We were comfortable at MM Comfort inn, and the service felt friendly. It was a great stay.

The room had a comfortable bed, and I slept well. It was spacious, clean, and looked after, with a simple but nice interior and the essentials like TV, AC, and a clean bathroom. For what I paid, the comfort and service at MM Comfort felt like very good value, and the amenities were better than I expected.

Eden Beach was nearby, so my friends and I could easily go enjoy it during our stay. We had a lot of fun at this new property. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and nice, and there was car parking available. We had a great time and would recommend the place.
