Rajabala Residency in Villianur, Pondicherry, is a decent budget option for a short stay if you’re not picky. The rooms and toilets were clean, and access is available 24 hours a day, which is handy for late arrivals. We did spot a few cockroaches, though, and there was no hot water in the rooms, which is a must in cooler weather. There’s no proper reception service either, so check-in felt a bit disorganized. Don’t expect luxury.

The security locks the main gate, leaving customers stuck inside, and it makes me late for work.

The place was dirty, with no heater and no food available. There wasn't even a service person to bring coffee or tea. The owner seemed focused on the supermarket job and didn't know how to maintain a place for hotel guests. Worst place.
