I arrived to find the room hadn’t been cleaned, and the price felt far too high. Cancel right after booking and you still may not get a full refund; they say the owner won’t accept it. Nobody wants to pay for a room they never used, but getting money back here isn’t simple.

We booked two nights, but there was no water until 9 a.m. on the very first day, even after we reported it and waited. They first told us to manage with bucket water, then later offered to move us. By then we were fed up and left. Despite the terrible service and response, they wouldn’t even give us a partial cancellation. I wouldn’t recommend this for families with kids.

The newly opened Shalo's Inn was impressively clean and hygienic. It’s just steps from Promenade Beach in White Town, Pondicherry, a lovely spot. I’d happily recommend staying here.

We had a really good stay with our family and two kids. The rooms were excellent, and the staff were so polite.

I wouldn’t stay here again. They charged me 3500 for one day, while nearby places usually charge 2k, and the staff were very rude.
