We spent four nights at The Base Inn, Pondicherry in a Standard Double room and found the hotel clean and well maintained. The room was compact but comfortable for two, and the family-friendly setting felt peaceful. Staff were helpful, friendly, and quick to respond. The large parking area is useful if you're driving. They also arranged a two-wheeler for ₹400, which made getting around Pondicherry convenient. The AC worked very well, the hot water heater did its job, and the cable TV had 100+ channels, including movies we enjoyed at night. Breakfast, the Mini Tiffin, was tasty and filling. The value seemed okay for what was included. For couples wanting a clean, safe, comfortable stay with good service and basic facilities, I'd recommend it.
