Villa Victor

For ₹1500, I expected basic cleanliness and upkeep, but the room was in terrible condition. When we came back at night and opened it, cockroaches were everywhere: on the bed, in the washroom and in every corner. It was unhygienic and unacceptable. There was no proper maintenance or service, and it felt like a complete waste of money. This should never happen in any accommodation. I strongly wouldn’t recommend Villa Victor in Pondicherry unless they seriously improve cleanliness and upkeep.

The biggest letdown was the room service. Check-in was supposed to be at 12 pm, but our room still wasn’t ready when we arrived at 3 pm. They provided no toiletries or towels, and the toilet seemed to get a little clogged over time, possibly from the pipe from the toilet upstairs. The rooms were quite comfortable, and the location was walkable to Rocky beach and white town. Parking is on the roadside, which is expected at most stays in pondi. Convenient enough, especially for bachelors.

The only upside was being close to the beach. The rooms looked filthy and were badly maintained, with rainwater seeping into the walls and mould on them. The floor was dirty, the bed was stained and horrible, and the restrooms were dirty and stinky. I couldn’t stay more than one night. I’ve traveled to many places, and this was the worst hotel I’ve come across. I’d suggest booking somewhere farther from the beach but in better condition. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Last month we stayed at Villa Victor, and it was a very disappointing experience. The room was in poor condition, and the pillows and bedsheets they provided were bad. They didn’t even supply basic items like bath soap, water bottles or toothpaste.
