The rooftop beach view was lovely, and the staff were friendly, but the place looked much worse in person than it does in the Google Maps photos. Our room itself was good, though it had no attached bathroom. Service was poor, with no arrangements made in advance. Three heater pipes broke within two days, and the showers didn't work properly. It ruined the stay.

Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, and the pool and Wi-Fi were okay. The place was clean overall, though the security dog made us a little uncomfortable. Our room was spacious enough, but we waited about an hour for it to be cleaned when we arrived. The bathroom was good, and housekeeping only came once, when the room was handed over. We also had trouble with the door lock. The staff were helpful but slow. We had to ask for basics like water, and their hospitality skills could be better. The resort is around 16 km from Pondicherry bus stand and close to a quiet beach, but the area felt empty, even during festive times. It's mostly village-like, without much of a beachside feel. It seemed a little overpriced for the location and service. The quiet can be a plus or a minus. It works if you want peace and don't need nightlife. Couples may prefer central Pondicherry, while families with a car could find it suitable.

After a six-hour drive with our six-year-old, we ended up leaving this hotel within two hours. The manager was rude and misbehaved with us. The rooms smelled bad and were dirty, and the water from the basin tap smelled too. They first said they could prepare food to our choice, then refused and told us to arrange it ourselves. We had no option but to leave, though luckily we found another resort on the same road and moved there. The booking management team did return our advance payment in full, and I appreciate that. The staff need training in how to treat customers.
