Hotel UR

The owner and manager were kind and arranged our short trip to Prayagraj, including hotel bookings, sightseeing, and airport arrangements. The hotel is right in the city center, and our room was comfortable and well-kept. Room service was excellent too. Their hospitality made the visit enjoyable, and I'd happily recommend the place to friends and family.

The team made the stay feel like family, and someone was available to help day or night. One evening I arrived really late, but they had the room ready in minutes and arranged a late-night food delivery without me having to ask twice. The front desk and housekeeping were always smiling and remembered little preferences. Any day-to-day issue got sorted on the spot. I stayed a week at UR in a comfortable, front-facing Civil Lines room with an authentic Prayagraj feel and modern comforts. The beds were plush, and Wi-Fi was fine for email and Netflix.

The cafe feels more like eating at a friend's home than at a hotel. The food is warm, tasty, and no-frills, and they'll adjust the spice level if you tell them. The Owner was a true gentlemen and accommodating with most requests. The location is central and convenient. Magh-Mela grounds and Sangam are a quick auto ride away, with markets for street food and shopping on nearby corners. Anand Bhavan is close too, and the train station is an easy ride. You can skip the heavy traffic while still being in the middle of things, with Civil Lines and old colonial buildings nearby. I stayed last month, and it was a chill spot in Prayagraj.

My family arrived late and ordered food before 10 PM as instructed. It tasted very bad, and they said it had come from a roadside dhaba. They charged ₹1700 for just 10-12 rotis and 2-3 dals. They insisted on cash before bringing the food and wouldn't take a card or online payment. Thankfully my family had cash, otherwise it's unclear what they could have done. Since they had checked in late, they couldn't look for another hotel. It was a very bad experience and felt like an unethical business practice.
