Shri Veni Madhav Hotel by Oyo Rooms

The location is down a small gully, and there isn’t even a proper road to reach the hotel. We booked an AC deluxe room for three, but got a non-AC room with one bed, and they didn’t respond properly when we asked about it. The room condition in the photos should give you an idea of how they maintain the place. They also didn’t clean it before giving it to the next guest. Don’t waste your money here, you could get sick.

We were a group of 27 senior citizens, and the manager was extremely rude. He said they weren’t tied up with OYO and wouldn’t honour our booking, then made us wait until 2 am. When I called OYO, they didn’t answer. The manager even started abusing us. A terrible experience with both the hotel and OYO.

There seemed to be no staff. The owner was running the hotel with his underage children, who were very illiterate and didn’t know how to talk to customers. My room was prepaid, but he shouted at me and picked a fight, saying I should have paid at the hotel. We’d booked an AC room, but when we arrived at night they said there were no AC rooms left, even though the whole hotel was vacant. We had no real option but to accept a non-AC room. We booked a three-bed room and got one with two beds. The room and beds weren’t clean, and they kept ignoring our requests for towels. They didn’t provide pillows or soap either. The toilet smelled awful, and water was coming out from the commode seat. The owner’s kids were rude too. It felt like they were doing us a favour by giving us a room.

The owner plays with words to get money, even over puja rituals, and I consider him a fraud. Rooms and washrooms are dirty, and the AC and TVs may or may not work. Do your best to avoid this place.
