Kunjpur Guest House

We were there from 22nd to 25th November, and the rooms stayed clean, comfortable, and well looked after. The decor gave the place a lovely, welcoming feel. From arrival onward, everything had been arranged beautifully, and the staff were polite, kind, and ready to help.

Kunjpur Heritage looks attractive from the outside, but I found the rooms and service poor for the high prices charged in the name of a heritage house. We booked the entire property for three days for our guests. It is a family run residential house adapted as a hotel, not a professionally managed regular hotel, and its staff and logistics couldn't handle the needs of fifty people staying there. Breakfast and catering were good, and the bed linen and towels were also good. The venue may work for small functions of fifty to a hundred people, but I wouldn't choose it for a large group's stay or catering. The rooms varied in size, layout, furniture, and fittings. Some had little ventilation, and none had an intercom. A few kettles were defective, some geysers didn't work, and guests weren't given tea bags, sugar, or milk sachets. Toiletries were also insufficient. There weren't enough experienced staff for a group of that size. Furniture in the rooms and common areas was dusty, and some wardrobes were locked and unusable. Bathrooms were dirty, one had a broken WC pot, and the outdated fittings need replacing.

Room service at Kunjpur Guest House was quick and respectful, whether we needed tea, cleaning, or something else. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the management paid attention to small requests. The food was fresh and tasty, with satisfying breakfast and dinner. They could make special dishes on request, and the kitchen paid attention to guests' preferences. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with fresh linens, clean washrooms and furnishings, and a peaceful atmosphere. Air-conditioning, hot water, Wi-Fi, and the smart TV all worked well. The location in Ashok Nagar felt calm and safe, with transport and city attractions easy to reach. We got a warm welcome and an easy check-out. For a business trip, family holiday, or pilgrimage in Prayagraj, I found it comfortable, clean, and fairly priced, with good food and hospitality. I'd recommend it and would come back.
