OYO 33482 Mahalakshmi Inn

I wouldn't recommend this place. The cleanliness was poor, and the quality didn't match the price. Mosquitoes kept biting me all night, and they couldn't provide any repellent. A bad experience.

The location is good, and the rooms are spacious with nice furniture. But service is lacking, with no wifi and poor room service. When I visited three months ago, an electricity problem hit during peak summer. Management was just okay and didn't seem very concerned about guests' issues.

We booked this hotel for 25 people, and this was the second time in a row we'd had trouble here. The management guy, who was chewing gutka, told me arrangements were ready and check-in would go smoothly for guests arriving at 6 AM. But when they got there, he said the rooms were occupied and wouldn't be available until after 12 PM. What the hell? We had to manage somehow. Then, in June, the water supply suddenly stopped while the guests were in their rooms. Instead of bringing a water tanker, they brought a bucket. They only had one bucket and one person to deliver it, when they could have provided at least ten. The guests even had to carry the buckets themselves. If zero stars were an option, that's what I'd give this hotel. The facilities are the worst. Don't stay here, it's not worth a penny.

As a couple, we had a good night here, and I'd honestly rate it 4. There was no disturbance to our privacy, and although there's a market outside, our room was set further in and stayed quiet. The room had AC, a TV, a fan, and a clean washroom. Staff were nice and fixed our TV issue, then brought water as soon as we called. Getting the keys was easy, even though I had booked through MakeMyTrip. The bed didn't feel clean to us as a couple, though I forgot to ask staff to change it. There were also plenty of mosquitoes at night, so ask staff for help or bring Mortin.
